A GUIDE TO THE BAŠĆAN PATH OF GLAGOLITICS

Glagolitic, as a trademark of Baška and a large part of Baška's history, is very important for the cultural promotion of Baška. In order to introduce all our visitors to the Glagolitic alphabet in the most interesting way possible, the Society for Culture, Ecology and Tradition "Sinjali" from Baška, launched the Baška Glagolitic Trail project, which was completed in 2009.

VISIT CHURCH OF ST. LUCIJA

Church of St. Lucije is one of the most famous churches on the island of Krk, but also one of the most important in Croatian history. It is known as the site of the Baška tablet, a replica of which is still found in that church. According to the text of the Baška tablet, it can be concluded that the church of St. Lucy was built at the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries on the remains of a former early Christian basilica.

4 ISLANDS MTB STAGE RACE

Mitas 4 Islands MTB race is a mountain bike race with a unique riding experience in just 4 days on 4 different Kvarner islands: Krk, Rab, Cres and Lošinj. For the eighth year in a row, Baška is the host of the first stage. In 4 days of the race, participants drive about 270 km and pass through the most beautiful locations on the mentioned islands, where they are expected to have a diverse configuration of terrain and will achieve over 5000 meters of altitude.

FISHERMEN'S DAY

Small places often hide great traditions, and Baška is certainly no exception thanks to the event "Fishermen's Day". Since 1910 and the first competitions in pulling nets, we are developing the event Fishermen's Day, which every year delights many visitors who through it get involved in the long tradition and heritage of Baška. Music and many educational and fun activities for all generations will fill these traditional "Fishermen's Day" with a good mood in a special fishing spirit. Put on your striped T-shirts and join us on another Fishermen's Day!

BLACK SHEEP

Black Sheep - a festival of lamb, individualism, creativity, island heritage, popular culture and sports in Baška, on the island of Krk, this year again brings new programs, performers, speakers and a large number of visitors eager for gastronomic delicacies of lamb and a free program that will last from early afternoon on Friday, May 20, through Sunday, May 22. In addition to the specialties of indigenous Baška lamb from Friday to Sunday, visitors will enjoy a program that includes concerts, exhibitions and a rich gastronomic offer.
